The marriage ceremony was performed at Junaid's village Dagai Mathra and
was attended by his well wishers, friends and cricketers. Walima would
be held on Tuesday at his native town in district Swabi.
The Barat ceremony comprising 100 vehicles was started from his village about 3 pm local time and reached at Kohati Seri, the hometown of the bride where the marriage ceremony was held.
The engagement was held six months ago with Khanasa, daughter of Matiullah Khan, who is settled in Bradford, UK.
It was an arranged marriage, according to family sources.
Talking to local reporters outside his residence on the eve of his wedding, Junaid said post marriage he would go to Saudi Arabia for Umrah with his wife.
After performing Umrah "I will concentrate on my treatment to get fit and join the national team".
